Founded in 2020 by Alex, the business was created with a clear vision to raise the standard of trade services. After more than a decade working in the industry, he saw firsthand the gaps in reliability, professionalism, and customer experience. Hutchinson Electrical Group was built to be different — a team that shows up when they say they will, communicates openly, and takes pride in every detail of the job, no matter the size or scope.

Today, that approach is reflected across the entire team. We’re a group of dedicated electricians and apprentices who genuinely enjoy what we do and the people we work with. We value long-term relationships, not just one-off jobs, and take pride in being a trusted name locals can rely on. Meet the Team

Raised on the Gold Coast, Alex has a strong connection to the local community and a genuine understanding of the homes and businesses he services. He attended and graduated from The Southport School, before starting his electrical apprenticeship at just 18. What began as a hands-on career quickly became a long-term passion, with over 12 years of industry experience shaping his knowledge, work ethic, and standards.

After starting his apprenticeship, Alex developed a solid foundation across residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work. That real-world experience continues to influence how the business operates today — focused on delivering reliable, high-quality electrical solutions backed by honest advice and a genuine commitment to doing the job right the first time.

In 2020, Alex founded Hutchinson Electrical Group with a clear goal: to raise the standard of trade services on the Gold Coast. Frustrated by poor communication, unreliable service, and inconsistent workmanship often seen in the industry, he set out to build a business that prioritises professionalism, transparency, and strong client relationships. Today, that vision is reflected in every job, from first contact through to completion.

Outside of work, Alex is a keen sports enthusiast with a love for golf, often spending his downtime on the course or enjoying the lifestyle the Gold Coast has to offer.

George is a 28-year-old first-year electrical apprentice who recently made the move into the trade, bringing a strong willingness to learn and a hands-on approach to every job. A graduate of Varsity College, he was drawn to the electrical industry for the opportunity to build practical skills, work with his hands, and be part of a supportive, team-driven environment. He’s quickly finding his feet, getting stuck into the work, and developing his knowledge on-site each day.

Outside of work, George is passionate about health and fitness, spending much of his time in the gym and training for HYROX events. He enjoys pushing his limits and staying disciplined, and that same drive carries through to his work — showing up ready to learn, contribute, and improve with every job.
